This product converts 3 RCA Component Video (YPbPr) and a digital coaxial (SPDIF) audio signal to an HDMI audio/video signal. This converter's high precision digital conversion technique ensures a high quality picture for clean, crisp resolution.

This unit supports up to 1080p, but will only output the resolution being fed into it by the component device. In other words, if your component video DVD player is feeding it a 480p signal, the HDMI signal coming out the other end will be 480p. It does not upconvert. Also be aware that there is no official specification for 1080p over component video. As a result, most, if not all devices, will not output a 1080p signal on component video.
